Ok so the Woman of the Week is starting to blow up, and since I started to do it Columbus, Ohio style it has been getting MAD LOVE !!!! Now enter Lauren Luna she is smart, pretty, funny, nice, and a little off the chain at times ( wait until you read the interview) but she is doing her damn thang in Columbus, Ohio so if you didn't know asked somebody QUICK please!!!!!!

2. What is your personality?
My personality is over the top! LOL I like to be the center of attention but when I get it, I get shy! It's my duel personality I guess of being on the cancer/leo cusp. Cancers shy out of the lime light, take care of home, very guarded, very sensitive and motherly, while that is very much me, my leo side comes out because I like the limelight, I want to be seen and heard. I'm generous and warmharted. Creative and enthuastic but also bossy. I speak my mind and have a foul mouth and sometimes it gets me into trouble. But you never have to worry about me lying.
3. Give me three words that describe you best as a artist?
Talented, diverse, and imaginative
4.If you ruled the world how different would it be and why?
If I ruled the world, the world would be different because there wouldnt be so much hate. In all senses of the word. Jealousy, wouldn't exist, because that's just a form of hate. Racism wouldn't exist, again because that's another form of hate. People would try to actually help each other as opposed to trying to bring each other down.

6. Your shoes are hand made works of art that take some time doing, what frame of mind are you in when doing the shoes for people and what come into play?
I work way into the wee hours of the morning sometimes, and alot of times I'm just thinking about getting the next pair done. I love painting, once I've already got the design concept down, it's just about the excution. Most times when I working on a pair I'm calling people to keep me company. The creative side of your brain is different from your verbal, so I prefer to talk to someone while I'm working. I get bored sitting for hours and hours with noone to talk to. When someone calls me for a design I will collaborate with them until we are both on the same page. Sometimes people don't know what they want, so that's when I start shooting ideas at them.

8. How did you feel when you were picked to be the WOMAN OF THE WEEK? And have you looked at past WOTW interviews? I was shocked. I have looked at the past interviews and since the past two were models I assumed that this was only for models. So I'm happy that I was picked to be WOTW, because it shows that my hard work is paying off and I'm getting noticed.
9. If you could tell one artistic something that you wish somebody told you what would it be and why? Something I wish I was told in college when I was an art major would have been, that its hard to break into the business. I've been about art since I was a very small child. It's all I've ever wanted to do. I watched the state of art go from canvases to computers and I was not equiped to handle that change. To this day I will pass a graphic order off to someone because that is not my forte. I'm computer illiterate when it comes to designing. Hand me a paint brush and I'll make magic. However because of this I limited my marketablity and avenue of where I could find work. Showing in galleries is not as profitable as it may have once been. The key is, is to find your nitche and PUSH IT!!!!!

11. What projects do you have coming up within the next couple weeks?
My ad campain is about to launch via HiPolicy Magazine. That should be out at the end of this month. I am preparing for my next round of ad photoshoots, as well as a JWORK fashion show I was invited to be a part of in the fall. I am also preparing to show my paintings in a charity art function also in the fall. Also Who's Who in Black Columbus, which I will be in should be coming out late summer, early fall.

12. What is the key to being a great artist in your mind? Dedication and willingness to adapt. I think that maybe the key to anyone success. If one remains rigid and unchangeable, the world keeps changing, and that person will just be left with what they know never learning more, never expanding, stagnate. Whereas if one should learn to adapt to new situations, gain insite, there is no choice but to profit from them.

I was never really a huge fan of paintings until I came across the work of Ms. Luna. Her artwork is a cherry slush from Sonic on a humid, August afternoon...very refreshing.Her aura breeds confidence and creativity, and she seems very chill and down to earth.
